rFactor Winter Race Series featuring High Plains Raceway

High Plains Raceway is Colorado's newest track, scheduled to open in Spring, 2009.

Located near Byers, CO, the track is 2.55 miles long and has elevation changes upwards of 75'.

All the information you could want, including a real race schedule, is located at http://www.highplainsraceway.com.

Hundreds of volunteers and contributors have been working hard to get the track built, but since our local racers just can't wait to race, we have built a track simulation to run using rFactor, and will have an online winter race series!
(The pavement is down, but it's winter now and we are letting the asphalt cure.)

You can certainly practice on your own computer for fast laps or against the computer cars, or even log on to the server any old time and run against whoever might be there, but we will also have organized evenings where you can compete against your old buddies for winter bragging rights.

Schedule:

Listed below.

The server will be available continuously, but on race evenings, there will be a formal 60 minute practice and 15 minute qualifying sessions. The race time listed below is the time that qualifying starts.

Cars used:

Will vary from event to event. See schedule.

Series Points (taken from Trackpedia league):
Points will be awarded for finishing order. With first place winning a total number of points equal to the total number of starters in the event. For example if 8 people participate then we will have 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. Each position pays points. Fastest Lap also wins a point and qualifying on pole wins a point.

Total end of year points will be added together out of everyone's top races dropping their two lowest point totals for the season. All fastest laps and qualifying points will be applied no matter when they are won.

Track Records*
We now have live hot lap recording ...
When you log on to the HPR server and run some laps, it will record and post your best lap time to this web page automatically:
HPR Hotlaps
If you happen to cut a corner or do something that would give an unrealistic best time, pull over so you don't get a fast lap posted or let us know and we can remove the time manually.
Thanks to Jamie Leben for setting this up, as well as running the HPR server we use for the online gaming!
